Melissa just held her Pump U Up! workshop at Trinity Yoga Studio this past weekend and it was so much fun! She makes learning how to use your body for your yoga practice easy to understand and effective. We all left the workshop with a better knowledge of how to adjust our own bodies in poses. Her sense of humor and lighthearted approach to learning what can be an overwhelming subject made us all feel at ease. We didn't need to know anatomy or sanskrit to understand the material and even the seasoned instructors in the workshop learned many new things. I'm really looking forward to more workshops with Melissa, she has a wonderful passion for helping people find how to use yoga to benefit their body for greater comfort and ease in their practice.

You'll be happy to know that I'm VERY conscious about my posture/alignment/scapula now! Thanks again for such an enlightening workshop. It's changed my view about yoga for myself, personally. I honestly haven't yoga-ed much lately but am excited to see where this takes me in my yoga journey and how yoga will change for me.

I was so sore on Monday; a good sore!! Glutes and core primarily, and sore from using muscles that I guess I don't regularly use during my usual practice that I will definitely start using from now on. I learned how to rely on my glutes way more to help out my back and how to use internal/external rotation during certain poses to help out the 'ol bod too! Your down to earth, fun, warm and genuine-ness made the workshop totally different than I expected; in a GOOD way. I sometimes get nervous in situations like that, you brought real peace and respect to all.
I especially am grateful for the extra time you took with me to talk after the class.

Hi Melissa....your class on Friday was so so amazing! I woke up Saturday morning and was actually WALKING differently. And, with no pain! My low back and hips hurt all the time, and most likely it's from sitting sitting sitting all day long. I felt SO GOOD and actually tried to remember exactly what poses we did so I can continue to do them at home. Like I said, girl, you are the BOMB when it comes to yoga. CORRECTIVE EXERCISE CLIENT ADRIEN EDWARDS
I play basketball 6 times a week, and I started to have issues with my knees. The doctors told me there wasn’t anything structurally wrong with them and that I needed to go to the physical therapist. I did that for more than a month but didn’t see results. Then, a friend of mine referred me to Melissa. I was having major issues with my knee caps not sitting right and as a result they would pinch and swell after games. Melissa ran me through some tests and asks questions. She seemed to recognize the issue right away and put together a simple and targeted set of movements for me to do twice a day. After only a few days I started to see a difference. Now it’s been over a month and I haven’t had issues with my knees. I continue to do the exercises she gave me before every game, and I feel great. The biggest difference I saw with Melissa vs. the physical therapist was that she was more interested in how my muscles and joints all work together than just focusing on one small section. I’m really happy with the results.

The experience was great for the girls, to be able to use yoga, the breathing as a coping mechanism and stress relief was something that the girls took away from the class. I was impressed by her calmness and inventiveness to work with teens.

She uses Yoga postures along with Anatomy and Physiology to assist our members by increasing strength and flexibility. Our facility includes a variety of members ranging in age and ability. The Yoga program has been a nice compliment to our training programs in both walking and running. Melissa assesses our members with her continuously evolving Yoga program and tailors a practice to compliment their strengths while helping them gain tone and flexibility in a gentle and safe way. Melissa is dedicated to her passion of combining yoga as body movement therapy and as part of a holistic fitness program that encompasses mind, body, and spirit.
DIRECTOR OF CENTRE FOR LIFE DEVELOPMENT AT HARC
Melissa provided the opportunity for 150 adults with disabilities to learn yoga. The students truly enjoyed their weekly yoga classes, and staff noticed how much they looked forward to it each week. The yoga class was interactive, fun, and great form of exercise as well. As the weeks progressed, more and more participants took part in the yoga class. CLD truly appreciates the time and energy that Melissa gave to the students and staff.
