Create a Personal Manifesto - Featured in Yogi Approved

Special Note: This was originally published July 3, 2015.  It has been updated to reflect the events of 2020.

Let's talk about YOU.

How are YOU doing?

It's time to check in with YOURSELF.

Due to the impact of recent events,  the collective "WE" are starting to lose hope and feel incredibly lonely.  Let me share with you some of the things I do to keep up my spirits and honor my emotions. I create a Manifesto.

What is a Manifesto?  A manifesto is your credo; it is your personal mission or vision statement. This is your declaration of independance: your goals, aspirations, dreams, and visions for your future.

What is a Visual Manifesto? It is a work of art that helps inspire you. Give yourself license to be creative: clip pictures, draw, color, paint, and do whatever sparks your fancy.

I make a visual manifesto right before every project or new stage in life and display it prominently as a constant reminder of my vision and goals. It is important to foster a love and awareness of all the things that make you who you are. Re-connecting with your dreams and sparking your creative process is a journey of self-discovery.

In 2015, I created my first Manifesto.  It was largely about committing to a yoga practice. I have since incorporated movement and yoga into my daily routine.  This manifesto helped me commit to my self-care routine and was incredibly useful in keeping me on track even when I felt like I did not have the strength to keep going.  Now I am sharing it with you.

See My manifesto.  Click on it for downloadable doc to help get you inspired.  Find your words and your voice.  Share with those around you.  Let this guide and connect you to what you wish to be and see in the world.
